PHOENIX Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “the Company”) recognizes the importance of personal information on customers, and will handle it with great care, in addition to implementing the following measures to ensure the providing of better products and services in taking responsibility for protecting such information.

Compliance with Laws and Ordinances
The Company will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal information, Other Associated Laws and Ordinances, Guidelines, Etc.
In-House System
The Company will lay down in-house regulations and necessary rules for every business operation in handling personal information and related systems, in addition to appointing an administrator in each department to establish a system of ensuring the protection of personal information.
Gathering of Personal Information
When personal information is gathered from customers, the Company shall clarify the purpose of its use and obtain consent before acquiring what is necessary for fulfilling that purpose.

Security measures regarding management of personal information

The Company shall implement necessary and appropriate security measures to manage personal information and prevent its leakage, loss, damage, etc. Efforts will be made to ensure the proper handling of personal data based on the following security measures.

  1. Laying Down of a Basic Policy
    The Company recognizes the importance of individual rights and interests and has laid down a basic policy on the protection of personal information for its proper handling. The Company shall strive to ensure thorough dissemination of this policy among executives and employees.
  2. Establishment of Regulations on the Handling of Personal Data
    The Company has established regulations regarding the methods, responsible parties and their duties at each stage of handling personal data, including their acquisition, use, storage, provision, return, deletion, and disposal.
  3. Organizational Security Measures
    A person in charge of handling personal data shall be appointed, while clarifying the employees who will handle such data, and the scope of data handled by them. A reporting system has also been established to notify the person in charge in the event of detecting any violations or indications thereof of laws and handling regulations. Furthermore, self-assessments and audits by an in-house auditing organization are conducted regularly.

Furthermore, measures have been taken to prevent the easy discerning of personal data when carrying around devices, electronic media, documents, etc., used in the handling of personal data.
  6. Technical Security Measures
    Access restrictions have been implemented to limit the people in charge and the scope of personal information, e.g., in the database, they are able to access. A system has also been deployed to protect, e.g., unauthorized external access to information systems that are used to handle personal data.
